The Greenfield High Bruins boys basketball team lost their third straight road game to Monterey Peninsula teams to fall to 0-5 in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
Emily Espino to play ball in San Diego

Bruins track team competes in last MTAL championship
A sixth straight championship also meant an end of an era for the King City boys track and field team. The Mustangs won the Mission Trail Athletic League in what was the last championship meet for them in the MTAL as next year King City, Gonzales, Greenfield and Soledad will be members of the Pacific Coast Athletic League.
Soledad wins Tournament of Champions
On Sunday, June 18, the Soledad Minor Giants won the Tournament of Champion Minor title, beating Hollister-American 18-6 in the finals.
Teams excel at jamboree
The South County Jamboree proved to be a success for local high school football teams in terms of preparing for upcoming season.
