Shotokan Karate students from Soledad, San Luis Obispo and Greenfield took karate exams for the first time ever in Greenfield.

King City High School distance runner Roman Munoz has qualified for his second State meet in track and field after finishing in the top third in the 1600 at Friday’s Central Coast Section Track and Field Championships at Gilroy High School.

The South County Jamboree proved to be a success for local high school football teams in terms of preparing for upcoming season. Local girls and boys soccer teams began the second week of non-league play last week in preparation for league play that will start in January.
