Tourney kicks off basketball season

Bruins track team competes in last MTAL championship
A sixth straight championship also meant an end of an era for the King City boys track and field team. The Mustangs won the Mission Trail Athletic League in what was the last championship meet for them in the MTAL as next year King City, Gonzales, Greenfield and Soledad will be members of the Pacific Coast Athletic League.
Greenfield Bruins rocked in Santa Cruz, 48-22
For a team that entered their game with Greenfield having lost four of its last five contests, the Santa Cruz Cardinals were impressive in a 48-22 win over the Bruins last Friday night.
