The King City Mustang baseball team won a close one and lost a close one in last week’s away and home series with the Carmel Padres.

Alvaro Pantoja of the San Ardo Boxing Club won by unanimous decision at the Red Shield Boxing Show in Modesto on Saturday afternoon. Pantoja fought in the 135 pound weight class.

Emily Espino, the 19-year-old daughter of Lorenzo and Denise of King City will be continuing her education and softball playing at San Diego Christian College next year after signing a Letter of Intent last week at Hartnell College.
