The Greenfield Lady Bruin softball team completed the regular season in the Coastal Athletic League and won a co-championship with the King City Mustangs as both teams finished with 11-4 records.

A potent running game and a short field was all the Coalinga High Horned Toads needed to defeat the Gonzales Spartans on Friday at Dick Force Stadium. Coalinga improved to 2-0 after the 48-14 win and Gonzales fell to 0-2 in non-league play.

King City High School distance runner Roman Munoz has qualified for his second State meet in track and field after finishing in the top third in the 1600 at Friday’s Central Coast Section Track and Field Championships at Gilroy High School.
