Realignment begins next fall for local teams
Change is coming next fall for local high school athletic teams as 33 schools that make up the tri-county area will be realigned to form new divisions as part of the Pacific Coast Athletic League (PCAL).

Greenfield Lady Bruins volleyball team lost at home in four games Sept. 25 to the Pumas of Pacific Collegiate of Santa Cruz in Santa Lucia Divisional play. The Pumas beat Greenfield 23-25, 25-23, 12-25 and 9-25.
Lady Bruins battle Stevenson
he defending Mission Trail Athletic League champion Robert Louis Stevenson Pirates received all they could handle on Friday from the host Greenfield High Lady Bruin basketball team. Greenfield had the lead at halftime and was tied at 53-53 in the closing minutes before falling to the Pirates, 60-55.
Scholarship runners
Three South County high school runners were awarded scholarships for their accomplishments as runners and their work in the classroom by the Monterey Bay Wednesday Night Laundry Runners (WNLR).
