Elsie Ines (Bassi) Costa, 88, of Soledad, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. She was born September 22, 1929, in Soledad, CA, and was raised and spent the majority of her life in the Soledad Mission District. She attended Mission Union Elementary School, Gonzales High School, and San Jose State University where she received her teaching degree and minored in music.

Dale Phillips, age 84, passed away October 29, 2018, after battling many health issues.

Evelyn Sue Clements, 79, long-time resident of Greenfield, passed away Thursday evening, January 11, 2018, surrounded by family at the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salinas, California. Evelyn was born September 6, 1938 to Herschel and Leona Salters in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the eldest of 4 children.

Frances Thorp 86, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.

Albert C. Bernasconi, 82 formerly of Greenfield, Calif. passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Las Vegas.

Leslie Plaskett Merrill passed away on August 3, 2017, in the loving embrace of her family. She was born in King City, CA and later moved to the Monterey Peninsula. Leslie loved her life overlooking the bay with the love of her life, her husband Scott. She enjoyed taking big ocean walks and watching the seals and otters play outside their window. Leslie loved watching Scott teach martial arts at Monterey Sports Center and was so happy to be Mrs. Sensei. She and Scott enjoyed their vacations in Lake Tahoe, where they had spent their honeymoon, and returned every year. A talented stylist, Leslie took wonderful care of her clients and valued their friendship greatly. She adored her children and grandchildren and cherished time spent with family.

Debra “Debbie” Joanne Pedrazzi of Salinas passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at 66 years of age after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
