Ranch Rodeo returns Sunday
This weekend’s Monterey County Ranch Rodeo, co-produced by the Monterey County Cattlemen’s Association and the Salinas Valley Fair, will raise funds for both nonprofits while offering a fun way for local buckaroos to compete in traditional ranching contests.

Residents reminded to keep pets safe during heat advisory
An excessive heat advisory has been issued for the Central Coast and is expected to be in effect through Monday, with temperatures in parts of Monterey County possibly hitting triple digits this weekend.
