Last Sunday’s shooting that injured a 19-year-old man in King City has been determined to be accidental and self-inflicted, according to investigators from the Major Crimes Investigations Unit.

Crash kills Greenfield woman, injures 2 others
A farm labor vehicle lost control Saturday afternoon and struck a group of pedestrians walking along First Street in King City, killing a Greenfield woman and injuring two others.
Local cities responding to Grand Jury rape kit report
Gonzales city officials formally submitted a response on Monday to a Grand Jury report that found law enforcement agencies in Monterey County lacked the adequate resources for rape kit testing. The city is required by law to respond to the report.
