Monterey County Sheriff’s Office may have found the body of a Greenfield man who was struck by a vehicle and thrown into the river off a local bridge in February 2017, officials said Friday.

A 36-year-old Greenfield woman died Tuesday afternoon in an accident between her vehicle and a motorhome on Highway 101 south of Lagomarsino Avenue, between King City and Greenfield.

Ismael Valdez, 37, of Greenfield, was found guilty by jury of battery upon a peace officer, resisting an officer and assault on peace officers. The case was heard by Superior Court Judge Efren Iglesia.
