Escaped SVSP inmate apprehended in San Francisco
An inmate who walked away from a minimum security facility at Salinas Valley State Prison (SVSP) in Soledad was apprehended Sept. 16 in San Francisco, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR).
Prisoner sentenced to life for killing another inmate
On June 7, Brant Q. Daniel, a 43-year-old inmate at Salinas Valley State Prison in Soledad, pled guilty to the charge of murder. Judge Lydia Villarreal accepted the inmate’s plea.
Soledad man sentenced to 5 years in prison for vehicle theft
Joel Antonio Hernandez, 32, of Soledad, was sentenced to five years for vehicle theft by Monterey Superior Court Judge Pamela Butler on March 15.
