Construction takes over city

GREENFIELD — Construction projects are occurring all around the city of Greenfield that will bring two new businesses, a new building for Mary Chapa Academy and a park for the public to enjoy.

On Apple Avenue, the prop 84 park, The Robasciotti and Rosas Recreation Facility is getting closer to completion every day. The pergola has gone up, the playground equipment has been put together and set up.

The park will offer the community of Greenfield a place to take their kids, hold events, and more.

Moving across the highway to El Camino Real starting at 490 ECR, Mary Chapa Academy construction crews are working on preparing the soil to lay the foundation for a new administration building and provide more parking for the staff and parents of Mary Chapa Academy students.

Turning South of El Camino Real, a block away from Mary Chapa Academy the vacant lot next to Valero Gas station at 348 is no longer vacant with construction crews working on the foundation for a new Dollar General Store.

Traveling North on El Camino Real past Mary Chapa Academy and turning onto Cherry Avenue, Greenfield Organix is working on its new facility. Construction crews have been busy working on the framing for green houses and the ground floor of the administration and office buildings.

Development is going on throughout Greenfield and residents can look forward to using these new businesses, facilities and parking in the near future.
