GREENFIELD — Community members gathered Monday morning for the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Holy Trinity Cemetery with the American Legion Post 635 of Greenfield to honor those who have died while serving in the U.S. military.
The May 28 event featured a flag salute, “Taps” tribute, prayers and the reading of the names of the fallen soldiers from Greenfield.
A similar program was also held at Oak Cemetery, followed by the local Post’s barbecue at the Veterans Memorial Hall.
