GREENFIELD — Anyone who missed the deadline to register for the May 2 City of Greenfield Special Parcel Tax Election may still do so through a process called Conditional Voter Registration, available until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Greenfield residents can register and vote in person at the Monterey County Elections Office, 1370 B South Main St., in Salinas, where they will need to complete a conditional voter registration form and provisional ballot. Once the voter information is processed, the ballot will be counted as part of the official canvass.
Additionally, residents who became U.S. citizens after the close of registration on April 17 are still eligible to register to vote for the Special Parcel Tax Election until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Those eligible to register can do so in person, with proof of citizenship, at the Monterey County Elections Office.
