Obituary | Joe T. Adames, "Chubasco"

Joe T Adames passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Modesto, California. He was born September 18, 1934 in Texas.

Joe moved with his mom and elder siblings in 1941 from Texas to California and they worked at California Orchard Company. After marrying the love of his life Sally, they moved to San Jose and then to Modesto.

He joined the United States Army from 1951-1956, he served in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged.

Joe is survived by his 9 children, baby Joe Adames, Jr. who died as an infant, Mario, Joe, Armando, Mark, Josie, Mary, Martha and Felipa; his sisters, Mary Gonzales (King City), Terry Sanchez (Manteca), Margaret Gomez (San Jose), and Elizabeth Sanchez (San Jose).

He was preceded in death by his Mom, Felipa Torres Sanchez, sisters Innocencia Camacho, Antonia Regalado and Frances Guzman.

A viewing and Rosary will be held on Thursday, December 6 at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Ave., Modesto.

Mass will be held on Friday, December 7, 11am, at Holy Trinity Church, 27 S. El Camino Real, Greenfield. Burial with Military Honors will be following Mass at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
