Maria Guadalupe Rocha, 88, of Greenfield, passed away at home, surrounded by family, Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
Maria was born May 4, 1930 in Omaha, Nebraska, was raised in Jalisco, Mexico and had been a longtime resident of Greenfield. For many years, she maintained the kitchen in the family labor contract business. She loved cooking, knitting, gardening, watching telenovelas, and family.
She is survived by her children; Celestina Rocha, Porfirio “Pete” (Helen) Rocha Jr, Nicolasa (Tomas) Amador; grandchildren, Oscar Sanchez, Gabriel Sanchez, Almalinda (Pablo Magdaleno) Ruvalcaba, Porfirio (Marcos) Rocha, Matias Rocha, Christopher Rocha; great grandchildren, Izaias Sanchez, Saleen Sanchez, Leonel Magdaleno, Leanna Magdaleno, Dominic Rocha, Brianda Rocha; many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio “Pete” Sr in 1981; brothers, Jesus, Faustino and Manuel Linares.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield; followed with burial at the Greenfield Cemetery District.
