GREENFIELD — National Night Out returned to Greenfield Village on Aug. 7, bringing the Greenfield police, fire, ambulance, city and residents together to spend a few hours getting to know each other.
A special attraction for this year’s Night Out was the California Highway Patrol helicopter that made a landing on the south end of El Camino Real. CHP officers spoke about the helicopter and took photos with the youth and residents.
Greenfield Police Department was on hand to show different fingerprint-finding techniques, protective measures and more. Greenfield firefighters showed youth how to use its fire hose similar to when they put out fires.
The evening also included several booths and free hot dogs.
