GREENFIELD — OneJustice’s Justice Bus Project is coming to Greenfield on Saturday, Sept. 16, for a free immigration legal clinic for individuals in need of assistance with their applications for DACA renewal.
Volunteer law students and attorneys will meet one-on-one with clients at any stage of the application process at the clinic, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Greenfield Civic Center, 599 El Camino Real.
The emergency DACA renewal is for anyone whose work permit will expire on or before March 5, 2018. They have until Oct. 5 to send out their renewal applications. As of now, no new person can apply for the first time.
Space is limited. Call 415-534-5878 to make an appointment. Translators are available upon request.
The event is part of OneJustice’s Justice Bus Project initiative, whose mission is to increase the capacity of legal service providers and community-based organizations serving isolated and vulnerable populations throughout the state.
In the past year alone, the Justice Bus Project has organized free legal clinics in 23 counties throughout California and partnered with over 25 community-based organizations to coordinate legal services for more than 900 low-income individuals. Learn more at https://onejustice.org/probonojustice.
