GREENFIELD — Denise Chavez Oglesby was sworn in Dec. 20 as Greenfield’s next chief of police during a ceremony at the Greenfield Civic Center.
Oglesby, a retired detective lieutenant from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, was selected after an extensive recruitment and testing program.
City staff, fellow law enforcement personnel and members of the public, as well as Monterey County Supervisor Simon Salinas, attended the event to welcome the new chief to the community.
