GREENFIELD — Greenfield FFA had another successful year at the 2018 Monterey County Fair, with students from the chapter exhibiting sheep, rabbits, poultry, floral arrangements and horticulture projects, taking home multiple awards in several categories.
Congratulations to the following Greenfield FFA students:
Ivan Trujillo received outstanding exhibitor, first-place team in vegetable judging, first-place duck showmanship, grand champion waterfowl with his duck, competed in round robin and placed fifth overall, and won the floral sweepstakes.
Brandi Zepeda received FFA reserve champion lamb, and placed second in senior showmanship with lambs.
Katya Hernandez placed third high individual senior vegetable judging, first-place team vegetable judging, and received weight champion lamb, first-place rabbit showmanship, competed in round robin, and won best opposite breed Polish rabbit.
Aligha Ramey received reserve champion waterfowl with her duck and also reserve in her division.
Nancy Ortiz received first-place high individual novice livestock judging and weight champion with her lamb.
Ana Torres received first-place novice lamb showman.
Alyssa Ramey received reserve champion bred and fed pig.
Samantha Rios received reserve champion FFA meat goat.
Sarah Rios received best in show corsage, weight champion lamb, and fifth-place senior lamb showmanship.
All market animals earned a group one, and everyone did an amazing job this year.
