GREENFIELD — Greenfield Cultural Arts Center invites children ages 10 to 17 to participate in its Summer Art Camp, June 11 through Aug. 3.
Arts Center staff will lead the program, which is free to Greenfield residents, and help develop positive, creative thinking for youth using the arts as a catalyst.
Projects can include drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media and printmaking in addition to a public art project, such as murals on local utility boxes, and the music-maker boot camp, where participants can write songs, make instruments and perform.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with lunch and snacks provided, at the Greenfield Cultural Arts Center, 215 El Camino Real, in Greenfield. An art reception is planned for Aug. 5.
Participants are asked to sign up the first day of camp. Since this is not a drop-in camp, participants must sign up for a minimum of one week.
Enrollment is limited. Download the registration form at www.firstnightmonterey.org or email in**@fi****************.org.
