GREENFIELD — Greenfield Police Department is looking for a man in connection with a shooting that injured one woman outside a local convenience store on Christmas Day.
According to reports, officers responded to a woman who was shot at 145 El Camino Real, near the Fastrip Food Store, at about 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 25. Upon contacting the victim, who was sitting on the sidewalk outside the store, officers provided medical aid until Greenfield Fire and American Medical Response arrived.
The woman suffered one gunshot wound to her back torso, police said. She was stabilized on scene and taken to a local trauma center, where she is in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male with dark clothing. No other details were released.
“There is no one in custody,” police said in a news release Wednesday. “The case is being investigated by the Greenfield Police Department investigators and is ongoing.”
