SOLEDAD — Mission Soledad celebrated its 58th annual Mission Fiesta on Oct. 7, bringing Soledad and Mission residents together to eat chicken, enjoy some sun, listen to music and watch the Grape Stomp.
The Grape Stomp, in which youth take off their shoes and stomp grapes to see who can get the most grape juice the quickest, took over at 1 p.m. with several Mission students competing against one another.
The competition ultimately ended with eighth-grade student Jassieley Borzini victorious.
Fiesta goers feasted on a chicken barbecue while bidding on wines for the wine auction and silent auction.
All the wines were donated by various wineries around the South County area.
Mission 4-H members dressed in their white and green uniforms and once again hosted the soda and water ticket booth.
Surrounding the outside of the Mission Fiesta were craft vendors selling signs, pumpkins and more.
