GREENFIELD — Volleyballs were flying at the Greenfield High Gym on Saturday as the Lady Bruin teams hosted the Santa Lucia Division Jamboree.
Participating in the event were Marina High School, Trinity High School, Oakwood and the host Greenfield Lady Bruins.
“All of our athletes had an opportunity to play,” said Greenfield head coach Mark Francis. “The referees were great and I think Greenfield High School was successful as the host school. It looks like Oakwood and York will only have varsity teams this season.”
Greenfield opens the non-league schedule Aug. 27 by hosting the North Monterey County High Condors and will play at Soledad on Aug. 28. The Lady Bruins begin league play Sept. 11 at home with Oakwood.
