GREENFIELD — Maria Hernandez scored 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Greenfield Lady Bruin basketball team to a 48-33 win in Monterey against the host Santa Catalina Cougars on Feb. 6.
Last Thursday in Pebble Beach the Lady Bruins (4-7 in league and 10-12 overall) were beaten 53-45 by the host Robert Louis Stevenson Pirates. Alize Ortiz led Greenfield in scoring with 13 points and Ambreece Gaskins led the Pirates with 19 points.
In the JV contest Greenfield beat Stevenson 37-31. Ariel Carrillo led Greenfield with 21 points and Ashley Ramey contributed with nine points. The Bruin teams will play host to King City tonight and travel to Carmel on Friday for games against the Carmel Padres.
