GREENFIELD — Greenfield’s Cesar Chavez Elementary School hosted its annual Veterans Day Assembly last Friday, Nov. 8.
Veterans from the community were invited to attend and be honored for their service to the country. Cesar Chavez students spoke about the importance of Veterans Day as well as the function of each branch of the military.
After the assembly, the school hosted a breakfast for all the honored guests.
Other schools in the Greenfield Union School District, including Arroyo Seco Academy, also put on patriotic events for veterans this month.
