GREENFIELD — Circle of Friends Club, which promotes friendship and inclusion by pairing special education students with their peers, hosted its first art show last Friday at Greenfield High School.
Most of the artwork on display Jan. 18 was created by the club’s special ed students as well as some staff members and other students at the high school. Many pieces were available for purchase, with all the proceeds going toward the club to help pay for future field trips.
Teresa Torres, special ed teacher at Greenfield High School, said planning for the art show started in September and took a while to put together because of the amount of artwork they had to gather from participants.
The next Circle of Friends Club art show is tentatively scheduled for January 2020.
