GREENFIELD — Cesar Chavez Elementary School hosted its annual Veterans Day Assembly last Friday, Nov. 9.
Veterans from the community were invited to attend and be honored for their service. Cesar Chavez Student Council members spoke about the importance of Veterans Day and the function of each branch of the military.
The patriotic event ended with the entire student body singing the song, “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”
After the assembly, the school hosted a breakfast for all the honored guests.
