GREENFIELD — South County Major Crimes Unit has released a video surveillance photo of a suspect involved in a recent robbery at a convenience store in Greenfield.

On May 18 at about 9:23 p.m., a Hispanic male entered the Shell Gas Station and Convenience Store, located in the 800 block of El Camino Real in Greenfield, and removed a large quantity of money without the store clerk’s permission and fled the store. Police said a weapon was simulated but not seen.

“The suspect fled the store on foot and got into a waiting vehicle parked north of the store and left the area west on Thorne Road,” police said in a news release July 10.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt and blue jeans. He is described as a Hispanic adult male with a height between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches. The vehicle was a dark-colored two-door compact car, possibly a 1998 to 2002 Honda.

Investigators with the Major Crimes Unit, a collaboration of the Greenfield and King City police departments, are investigating the incident and reaching out to the public to help identify the suspect.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Det. Leo Guzman at 831-888-7168, Det. David Doglietto at 831-674-5111 or Det. Joshue Partida at 831-386-5991 of the Major Crimes Unit.

“No other information is being released at this time, as the investigation is continuing,” police said.
