GREENFIELD — Team members, coaches and families for the Greenfield High Lady Bruin softball team celebrated a successful season with an awards night presentation and banquet May 23 at the school’s student union.
This season the Lady Bruins finished in a first-place tie with the King City Lady Mustangs in the Coastal League with a league mark of 8-4 and an overall record of 11-7.
Receiving Bruin Senior Leadership Awards were: Andrea Diaz, Dyanna Flores, Vanessa Contreras, Cynthia Morales, and Deina Pavon. Special team awards were presented to Norma Ornelas (Rookie of the Year); Ariel Carrillo (Golden Glove Award); Aligha Ramey (Silver Slugger Awards); and Andrea Pantoja (Diamond Award).
The complete roster for the Lady Bruins this season was: Deina Pavon, Aligha Ramey, Bianca Alvarez, Ariel Carrillo, Janelle Compean, Vanessa Contreras, Andrea Diaz, Dyanna Flores, Norma Ornelas, Andrea Pantoja, Miranda Zuniga and Candace Gallardo.
