GREENFIELD — Wins over the Trinity Christian Warriors has the Greenfield Bruin baseball with a .500 record in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
The Bruins defeated the Warriors 8-0 in the first game and completed the sweep with an 11-6 win. Both games were played on the Greenfield playing fields.
In the first contest Bruin pitcher Alexis Zavala threw a three-hit shutout to earn the MTAL victory. Zavala had a good game at the plate with three hits and a run batted in. Daniel Espinoza contributed with two base hits and Andrew Trujillo added two hits and two RBIs.
On Thursday in the second game Andy Espinoza had three and finished with three RBIs. Trujillo added two hits and two RBIs and Cristobal Vega added two hits and two RBIs of his own. Vega pitched 4.2 innings for the victory and Andrew Trujillo earned the save.
