GREENFIELD — Mee Memorial Healthcare System and Greenfield Rotary Club teamed up to host a Swiss sausage barbecue fundraiser in Greenfield to build awareness and raise support through a grassroots effort.
Mee Memorial’s Greenfield Clinic expansion is expected to increase patient capacity by 57 percent and have 73 percent more patient rooms.
Staff from Mee has been working on grants and funding through the foundation, and is now turning to the community to raise the last $1 million needed for the expansion.
The June 15 barbecue featured food from Roy’s Swiss Sausage Factory, which was selected because it is a local business in Greenfield, staff said.
