Martinez learns about emergency preparedness

Greenfield Councilmember Yanely Martinez recently joined the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund in Miami, Fla., for the National Policy Institute on Emergency Preparedness and Response Management.

Pinnacles National Park receives field trip grant from National Park Foundation

Pinnacles National Park will receive a field trip grant for the 2018-19 school year from the National Park Foundation, the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service. This $5,200 grant will be used to help underserved schools with the cost of transportation to Pinnacles National Park.

Police ID body as missing man

Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found last week as the missing Greenfield man who was struck by a vehicle and thrown into the river off a local bridge in February 2017.
