Heritage hog sells for $119K
This year’s Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Animal, a 255-pound hog raised by Alexandria Burgess of Hilltown 4-H Club, was sold for $470 per pound, bringing in roughly $119,850 for the Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation during last Saturday’s Junior Livestock Auction at the fairgrounds in King City.
