Jose "Joe" Lous Perez

Jose “Joe” Lous Perez, passed away peacefully at his home on July 25, 2018.

Joe was born on September 13, 1961 in Sunnyside, Washington to Alfredo and Manuela Perez. When Joe was a few months old he and his family moved to Greenfield, Calif. and it was his home for his entire life. He attended Greenfield Elementary School District and attended King City High School. He worked for Greenfield’s Turf for 20 years and was currently working for South County Packing.

He met his wife Connie when he was 16 years old and they were together for 40 years, together they had 2 children, Veronica and Joseph. Joe enjoyed taking his family on camping trips and long drives. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His home was the regular meeting place for friends and family, and was even jokingly nicknamed “Joe’s Bar and Grill”.

His family, friends, and co-workers can easily describe him as a strong, caring, loving, adventurous, nature loving. He found humor in all things…and a man of his word type of man. A hand shake meant everything to him. He also loved watching NASCAR Racing, and even named his dog Indy. Joe will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Veronica (Sean Barlow), son Joseph Perez. grandchildren Ellena Barlow, Zayna Barlow, Eyan Perez Barlow, Aubrey Perez Barlow, Joseph Perez, Emily Perez, Julian Perez, Savannah Perez, and great granddaughter Adalynn Tankesley: siblings, Victoria Salas (Justo) of Edinburg, Texas, Ruben Perez (Mary Alice) of King City, Calif., Ernest Perez (Lisa) of Mariposa, Calif., Danny Perez, of Edinburg, Texas; sister-in law, Irene Perez, of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Joe is preceded by his parents Alfredo Sr. and Manuela Perez; brothers, John Perez, Alfredo Perez Jr. and sisters, Adelina Tavarez, and Yolanda Palomarez.

A Visitation was held on Monday July 30, 2018 at 5 p.m. with a Prayer service at 6 p.m. at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett St. in King City.

A Funeral Mass was held, 10 a.m., Tuesday July 31, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 27 S. El Camino Real, Greenfield. Burial immediately followed the church mass at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Greenfield.
