GREENFIELD — On April 11, Greenfield City Council approved Finance Director Jeri Corgill as interim city manager, helping to fill the gap of more than 30 days between previous Interim City Manager Robert Perrault who left March 31 and incoming City Manager Jaime Fontes who begins May 8.
To fill that vacancy, Perrault provisionally appointed Corgill as the interim city manager between April 1 and May 7.
“The fiscal impact is that the general fund is going to experience a small cost savings because Jeri is actually serving in both positions, as finance director and city manager,” City Attorney Mary Lerner said.
The salary will replace the finance director salary and is already part of the city manager budget.
Corgill, who was appointed to lead Greenfield’s financial services in June 2013, has worked in local government for 20 years at both city and county level.
Her prior history involves working with the City of Atascadero in the Administrative Services Department.
Corgill studied at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a master’s degree in public policy.
